Tasting Notes:
This delicious Piedmont-style Barbera offers generous color and dense, melted tannins. Its luscious, plumy fruit is framed by subtle toast seamlessly knit into the plush fabric of its classic varietal expression.
These head trained vines produce an extraordinarily balanced wine without the high acid profile normally associated with the variety. It is very succulent and provides the drinker with a sense of warmness. We started with Dry Creek Valley Barbera back in 2001 and over the years I have come to learn that there is no better region in California to grow this variety other than the Sierras.
Try this one with an Osso Bucco or a rich Spaghetti Bolognese.
