Smooth and spicy, an elegant style with well-focused flavors of spicy currant, black cherry, rich fruit aromas. Some classic dust and earthy characters add to the wines complexity. Touches of pipe tobacco and spicy oak lend weight to the finish, trailed by firm, assertive tannins.

This dual appellation wine provides the drinker with a sense of the region where it is grown. The Carneros portion of Napa Valley is much cooler with fog playing a part of this. Hence it has a more delicate and refined aroma and flavor profile. Enjoy this wine with a wide range of food: from pasta to hearty meat dishes, or of course, all by itself!
