Tasting Notes:
Burford and Brown’s debut release of their traditional Solero System Verdelho. Only four barrels each year are made from the Ehler’s Vineyard of Lodi-the system was started in 2005. This rare treat displays aromas of stone fruits, walnuts/pecans and orange peel which continue through to a long, fresh lingering finish. Like most dessert wines it has been handcrafted and minimally processed to retain structure. It is a cross between a Sherry (dryness) and a Tawny Port (nuttiness). This delight is fortified to 18.5% with 100% grape neutral spirit.
Try it with some plain cheesecake, rich cheese or even soak some fresh berries in it, you will not be disappointed. Enjoy!!
